Learning Quran Online in Canada
Canada spreads its Muslim families very thinly outside a handful of cities. A family in Mississauga has a choice of madrasahs; a family in Regina, Moncton or Thunder Bay often has none within an hour, and in January that hour is not a small thing.

Our classes are private and live: one child, one teacher, thirty minutes, on the evenings you pick. It makes no difference to the lesson whether you are in downtown Toronto or a small town in Saskatchewan, and it makes no difference in February either.
Teachers are available in both genders and teach in English throughout. Fees are quoted in Canadian dollars, so what you see is what your card is charged.

Where Most Students Start
Noorani Qaida in Four Levels
From single letters to reading the mushaf. Most children finish in three to six months.
Joining Letters & Short Vowels
Letters joined into words, then the three short vowels — Fatha (ـَ), Kasra (ـِ) and Damma (ـُ) — and tanween.
This is the stage where it stops being letters and starts being reading.
Long Sounds & Special Rules
The madd letters Alif (ا), Waw (و) and Ya (ي) that stretch a sound, plus sukun (ـْ) and shaddah (ـّ).
Words begin to sound the way they are meant to, held for the right length.
Reading Practice — Advanced
Every rule at once, plus noon sakinah and tanween, and then real ayahs instead of exercises.
Your child finishes this level reading from the mushaf itself.

Why Distance Is the Canadian Problem

How We Match a Teacher to Your Child
The match matters more than most academies admit. Here is how we do it.
1. You tell us your preferences
Male or female teacher, your child's age, what they can already read, and the days and times that genuinely work in your household.
2. The trial class assesses the level
The teacher listens to your child read and finds the real starting point, which is often not where the parent expected. You get that assessment honestly, even when it means starting further back.
3. You confirm — or ask for someone else
If the teacher is not the right fit for your child's temperament, say so and we will match another. Changing teachers early costs nothing and is far better than persevering with a poor match.

Questions From Parents in Canada

Do you cover all Canadian time zones, including the West Coast?
Yes. We schedule across Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern and Atlantic every weekday, and arrange Newfoundland slots individually. British Columbia families usually take 3:00pm to 8:00pm Pacific; Ontario and Québec families have the widest choice, from 3:30pm to 9:30pm Eastern.
Are the fees in Canadian dollars?
Yes. Plans run from C$54 a month for two 30-minute classes a week to C$82 a month for five. The price on the page is the price in Canadian dollars, not a US figure converted at checkout. There is no registration fee.
We live outside a big city with no madrasah nearby. Does that matter?
Not for these classes. The lesson is live one-to-one over Google Meet or Zoom, so a family in Regina, Moncton or a small town in northern Ontario gets exactly the same teacher and the same thirty minutes as a family in Brampton. Distance from a masjid is the most common reason Canadian families come to us.
Do classes continue through the winter?
Yes, and this is when most families value them most. Nothing is cancelled for weather, because nobody has to travel. Snow days and storm closures do not affect the lesson.
Can we choose a female teacher for our daughter?
Yes. You choose male or female when you register, at the same fee, and can request a change later. Many Canadian families choose a female teacher for daughters and for children under about eight.
What age can my child start?
Around four and a half to five is the usual starting point, once a child can sit and pay attention for half an hour. Younger children often do better with two or three classes a week rather than five. There is no upper age limit — a good number of our Canadian students are adults learning to read properly for the first time.
Our household speaks English at home. Will the teacher manage?
Yes. Teaching is in English from beginning to end, and our teachers are also fluent in Urdu and Arabic if that helps at home. Children do not need any Arabic to begin.
