Online Islamic SchoolFor families in the USA
Live 1-to-1 Islamic classes for kids with qualified male and female teachers. Learn Islamic Studies, Duas, Salah, Seerah, Aqeedah and good manners at flexible times. Start with up to 3 free trial classes.
Give your child a strong foundation in Islam through live, 1-to-1 online learning. Alongside Quran reading, children build age-appropriate knowledge of Aqeedah, Salah and Wudu, daily Duas, Seerah and Islamic manners. Qualified male and female teachers adapt each lesson to the child's age and level, with flexible timings that fit around school and family routines.

An Islamic school online gives your child a regular lesson time on set days, at home, after school or at the weekend. At that time the teacher is live on camera, and your child recites to them 1-to-1. Quran recitation and Islamic Studies are taught together in that one lesson, by that one teacher: about 20 minutes of recitation and 10 of Islamic Studies in a 30-minute lesson.
There is no end date and no term. A beginner starts at the Arabic letters in the Noorani Qaida, moves on to Quran recitation with Tajweed, with Islamic Studies alongside the whole way. Your child moves on when their reading is ready, and more lessons a month means quicker progress. Nothing is rushed to meet a calendar.

Your child recites aloud and the teacher gently corrects the pronunciation as every mistake is heard. The book is open on the teacher's shared screen, from our own library at books.livequranlessons.com, and your child recites directly from it. You may also watch any lesson whenever you like, without asking first.
The Islamic Studies part covers wudu and Salah, the 6 Kalimas, daily duas with English translation, and short surahs from the 30th para (Juz Amma). It also includes memorization, simple explanations and good manners. There are no exams, nothing is tested — just steady learning at your child's pace. The full syllabus is on our Online Islamic Classes page, in the Courses menu.

The questions parents ask us most, answered.
Live Quran Lessons' online Islamic school teaches Quran reading and Islamic Studies together, in one live 1-to-1 lesson, usually 30 minutes long. A beginner starts with the Arabic letters in the Noorani Qaida and moves on to Quran recitation with Tajweed. Alongside it, your child learns Wudu and Salah, daily duas, the 6 Kalimas, short surahs, Seerah, Aqeedah and good manners.
Yes, Quran and Islamic Studies are taught in the same lesson, by the same teacher: a standard 30-minute lesson is about 20 minutes of Quran recitation and 10 minutes of Islamic Studies. On the 5-day plan, Friday is Islamic Day: the week's Islamic Studies is revised and a new lesson taught. If you would rather have recitation only, tell us and the lesson is arranged that way.
The 6 Kalimas and daily duas, each with its English translation, Wudu and Salah, and the funeral prayer. Short surahs from Juz Amma, then longer ones such as Yaseen, Ar-Rahman and Al-Mulk, with Ayat-ul-Kursi and the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah. The 99 names of Allah, Ahadith with English translation, the stories of the Prophets, Seerah, Aqeedah, good manners, dhikr and basic Fiqh, the everyday practices of Islam. The teacher takes them in the order that suits your child's age.
It is part-time: classes alongside your child's school, not a full-time school. Your child stays at their own school and has a 30-minute lesson at a time you choose, on weekdays or at the weekend. Teachers work around the clock, so most time zones are covered.
From 4½ to 17, and a bright 4-year-old can start too. A child who has never learned any Arabic starts at the first letters, so nothing needs to be learned beforehand.
Yes, Salah and Wudu are taught from the start: your child learns the steps of Wudu, how to pray Salah and what is recited in each part of it. The funeral prayer is taught as well, later on.
Yes, after every class. The teacher writes down what was covered and what to practise before the next lesson. The note links to the exact page in our online library and reaches you in your family WhatsApp group. There are no exams, and nothing is tested.
Through the lesson note after every class, which says what was covered and what to practise, and regular progress updates in your family WhatsApp group. You can also watch any lesson whenever you like, without asking first. A supervisor listens in on every class as well.
Yes, and each is taught separately: every child has their own 1-to-1 class, teacher and link, at their own level, and the monthly fee is per child. A second child's fee is 10% lower, and with more than 3 children every child after the first pays 12% less. Two children at the same hour need 2 devices; one after the other on a single device works too. The whole family shares one WhatsApp group.
Yes. Both male and female teachers teach at the academy, and every one of them is qualified. A supervisor also listens in on every class, and all of our supervisors are women.
2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week, whichever suits your family. The lesson is the same on every plan; on 5 days, Friday becomes Islamic Day.
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, and an internet connection. Classes run on Google Meet, so there is nothing to install, and the books are in our online library, so there is nothing to buy. Headphones help but are not required.
Tell us in your family WhatsApp group before the class and we reschedule it. For later the same day, give us 2 to 3 hours' notice. For another day, 1 hour is enough. Weekday students can reschedule up to 3 classes a month, and weekend students up to 2. A class missed without notice counts as taken, because the teacher waited for your child.
No class runs on public holidays or Eid. Those days are not made up; they are included in the monthly fee.
Your child keeps the same qualified teacher every week, at the same time. Every class is one-to-one. After each class the teacher writes a note: what was covered and what to practise.
Live, always. Every class is a live lesson on video with your child's teacher. We never send recordings in place of live lessons.
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida. From there it is Quran recitation with Tajweed, and after that Hifz, translation or Tafseer, depending on what a family wants. Alongside the Quran your child learns Islamic Studies. Families on 5 days a week keep Friday as Islamic Day, which revises that week's Islamic Studies and adds one new lesson.
Yes, and it is checked before anyone teaches a child. Every teacher holds a qualification from a recognized Islamic institution, and several hold professional degrees as well. Nobody is given a student on an application alone. There is an interview, a document check, training, and a live demo class we sit in on. The academy page sets out each stage.
A supervisor. She joins the link about 2 minutes before the teacher and your child, checks that both are online, and listens in as the lesson runs. She is not there to teach: she is there to make sure the class is a good one. If the sound fails, or the teacher is not listening closely enough to your child, she steps in. Every class is supervised, and all our supervisors are female.
Send us your WhatsApp number on the form, or message us on WhatsApp. We ask for your child's age and the times that suit you. A supervisor places your child with a teacher in a slot at that time, in your time zone. We reply on WhatsApp within 24 hours, and usually within hours.
Yes. Take up to 3 free trial classes first. Use them to check the teacher, the timing, and how your child responds before paying anything.
Yes. You are welcome to watch any lesson, without asking first.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Fees are monthly, and you pay for the month ahead. If you want to stop, tell us and we will stop. If you need a break instead, any unused balance carries to the next month. Before your regular classes begin, you can withdraw and get a full refund.
Through a WhatsApp group we open for your family after the trial classes. It has 4 people in it: you, your child's supervisor, the coordinator and the academy manager. Use it to move a class, ask for a different teacher, or raise anything at all. We try to settle it before the next class.
Arranging your trial class is the only thing we use it for, and we never pass it on to anybody. Once classes start it is the number in your family WhatsApp group.
You are welcome to watch any lesson yourself, without asking first, and a supervisor is listening in on every class. No teacher is given a student until we have checked their certificates and references. We then train them in how we teach, and sit in on a live demo class before they start.
Live Quran Lessons charges monthly, per child, by the days a week your child attends. 2 days a week is $39, 3 days $49, 4 days $59, and 5 days $65. Each lesson is 30 minutes, 1-to-1.
