Ask this before you enrol, not after. Here, a class we fail to provide is refunded in full, and if you pause your classes any unused balance carries over to the next month. A child's own missed lesson is different from an academy's missed lesson, and an academy that treats them the same is telling you something.
The three cases
The teacher is absent
This is the academy's problem, not yours. Ours refunds the full amount for classes we fail to provide.
Your child is ill or away
Tell the teacher in advance where you can. Fees are monthly and paid ahead; if you pause, the unused balance carries over rather than disappearing.
A public holiday or Eid
Eid and public holidays are included in the monthly fee and are not refunded. It is in writing on the fee page rather than discovered later.
What to ask any academy before you pay
- What happens when the teacher cannot attend -- a substitute, a makeup, or a refund?
- If we travel for three weeks, what happens to the fee?
- Is there a refund policy I can read as a page, not as a message?
- If we stop entirely, what happens to the money already paid?
Written answers to those four questions are worth more than any promise about teaching quality, because they are the ones that get tested.
Keeping a gap from becoming a break
- Two lessons a week during a busy month beats stopping and restarting.
- Tell the teacher the dates before you travel so the slot is held.
- Ask for revision work for the gap, not new pages.
- Come back to the same teacher and the same slot if you can -- the routine is half the progress.
