Every Noorani Qaida teaches the same content in the same order, because the order is the point of the book. What differs is the print size, whether the pages are illustrated, and how much is packed onto each page. For a young child, pick the one with the largest letters and the least on the page.
What is the same in all of them
Letters alone, letters joined, short vowels, long vowels, sukoon and shaddah and tanween, then connected reading. That sequence is the Qaida. A book that changed it would not be a Qaida.
So a parent comparing two editions is not comparing curricula. They are comparing layout.
What actually differs
- Letter size
- The single most useful difference for a child under seven
- Density
- Some editions put four exercises on a page. A child reads the first and dreads the rest
- Illustration
- Colour and pictures hold a young child longer. They make no difference to an eleven-year-old
- Script style
- Indo-Pak or Uthmani. Match it to the Mus'haf your child will read afterwards
That last one is worth a moment. If the family Mus'haf at home is Indo-Pak script, a Qaida in Uthmani script teaches letter shapes your child then has to re-learn.
Printed book or on the screen
- A printed copy in the child's hands is better for the early pages -- they can point, and the page does not scroll.
- The teacher sharing the page on screen is fine once the child is reading lines rather than letters.
- Whichever you use, use the same one every lesson. Switching editions mid-Qaida resets the visual memory.
- Do not buy three to compare. Buy one and stay.

The honest answer
The book matters far less than who is listening to your child read it. A good teacher with an ordinary Qaida will get further in six months than a beautiful edition and a teacher who talks for most of the lesson.
