Noorani Qaida
The Arabic letters, their sounds and how they join. Where a child who has never read Arabic begins.
Online Quran Classes in Dearborn
Live 1-to-1 lessons at home, alongside whatever your family already attends locally. Half an hour in which your child is the only one reading, and up to 3 free trial classes to begin.
Give your child the chance to learn the Quran at home, with one-to-one online Quran classes in Dearborn. Qualified male and female teachers take children step by step, from Noorani Qaida and Quran reading through to Tajweed and Hifz.
Dearborn is not a city short of Quran classes, and we are not going to pretend it is. What a halaqa of twenty cannot give is thirty minutes in which your own child is the only one reading. That is what this is for. Start your free trial today and see it before you decide anything.

Six courses, and your child can take one or move through them in order. The teacher finds where they actually are in the first class and starts there, whether that is the very first letter or a Juz they are halfway through.
Select the option that best describes your child's current level.
Calm, one to one, and nothing hidden. This is what the half hour looks like, what reaches you afterwards, and how the first class is booked.
Your child learns one to one with the same teacher every week, on a Google Meet link that never changes. A supervisor from the academy is on every class, and all of our supervisors are women. You can join any class yourself, without telling us first.
Not a vague “doing fine” once a month. A note follows every class: which lesson your child is on, how it went, and the five minutes of practice that would help before the next one.
Send one message and we answer with the hours that are free. After the trial classes you have a family group with your child’ supervisor, the coordinator and the academy manager in it, and everything is settled there from then on.
Dearborn may be the easiest city in America to find a Quran class in, and many of them are taught by people who have been teaching for decades. This page is not an argument against any of that. It is about one number: how many minutes of a class your own child spends reading aloud, and being corrected, each week.

In Dearborn you usually know who is teaching your child, and often their family too. On a screen you do not, so everything below is written to be checked rather than taken on trust — and you can check all of it yourself.

Our United States page covers what is the same for every American family — the fees in dollars, how a week runs, the free trial. This page covers what is only true of Dearborn.

Book a Free Trial ClassBecause the five minutes is not the problem — the minutes inside the class are. In a halaqa of twenty your child reads aloud for a minute or two; here they read for thirty. Many families keep the masjid for the company and the routine, and use the online lessons as the reading practice.
It is common, and the two are different skills. Spoken Lebanese, Yemeni or Iraqi Arabic does not teach a child the makharij, the madd lengths or the rules of stopping — and a child who sounds confident is often the one whose mistakes have gone uncorrected longest. The trial lesson will show you where the reading actually is.
Yes. Nothing here asks you to leave anything. Families most often take two or three thirty-minute lessons a week alongside whatever they already attend, and tell us what their own teacher is working on so the two do not pull in different directions.
Yes. We ask that a child reads reasonably fluently before starting Hifz, which usually means Noorani Qaida and some Tajweed behind them. Hifz lessons are 45 minutes or an hour, because the revision matters as much as the new lines.
You can join any lesson unannounced on the same Meet link, every lesson is 1-to-1, and nothing is recorded. Teachers' certificates and references are checked before they are given a student, and a supervisor joins each class. Our child safety page sets out the detail.
More than in almost any other American city, and some of them are very good indeed. We would not tell you otherwise. What we offer is the half hour of one-to-one reading that a full class cannot fit in — which is why so many families here do both.
Your child keeps the same qualified teacher every week, at the same time. Every class is one-to-one. After each class the teacher writes a note: what was covered and what to practise.
Live, always. Every class is a live lesson on video with your child's teacher. We never send recordings in place of live lessons.
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida. From there it is Quran recitation with Tajweed, and after that Hifz, translation or Tafseer, depending on what a family wants. Alongside the Quran your child learns Islamic Studies. Families on 5 days a week keep Friday as Islamic Day, which revises that week's Islamic Studies and adds one new lesson.
Yes, and it is checked before anyone teaches a child. Every teacher holds a qualification from a recognized Islamic institution, and several hold professional degrees as well. Nobody is given a student on an application alone. There is an interview, a document check, training, and a live demo class we sit in on. The academy page sets out each stage.
The teacher leads every class, and you can watch too. Every lesson runs on one link that never changes, and you can join any class without telling us first.
Send us your WhatsApp number on the form, or message us on WhatsApp. We ask for the times that suit you. We then place your child with a teacher who is free at that time. We reply on WhatsApp within 24 hours, and usually within hours.
Yes. Take up to 3 free trial classes first. Use them to check the teacher, the timing, and how your child responds before paying anything.
Yes. You are welcome to watch any lesson, without asking first.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Fees are monthly, and you pay for the month ahead. If you want to stop, tell us and we will stop. If you need a break instead, any unused balance carries to the next month. Before your regular classes begin, you can withdraw and get a full refund.
Through a WhatsApp group we open for your family after the trial classes. It has you and our academy team in it. Use it to move a class, ask for a different teacher, or raise anything at all. We try to settle it before the next class.
Arranging your trial class is the only thing we use it for, and we never pass it on to anybody. Once classes start it is the number in your family WhatsApp group.
You are welcome to watch any lesson yourself, without asking first, and a supervisor is listening in on every class. No teacher is given a student until we have checked their certificates and references. We then train them in how we teach, and sit in on a live demo class before they start.
