Online Quran Classes in Melbourne
Live 1-to-1 lessons at home with a male or female teacher, wherever in Melbourne you live. Start with up to 3 free trial classes.
Live Quran Lessons teaches Melbourne children online, 1-to-1: Noorani Qaida, reading with Tajweed, Hifz, Quran translation and Islamic Studies. Lessons run at Melbourne after-school times with a male or female teacher. The first 3 classes are free and no card is needed.

Melbourne has the largest Muslim population of any Australian city, and it is spread right across the north and the west. Dandenong in the south-east and Hoppers Crossing in the west are an hour and a half apart on a bad afternoon.
So the good madrasa is often not the near one. Families in Craigieburn or Meadow Heights can find themselves driving to Broadmeadows twice a week, and families further out find nothing within reach at all.
Six courses, and your child can take one or move through them in order. The teacher finds where they actually are in the first class and starts there, whether that is the very first letter or a Juz they are halfway through.
Select the option that best describes your child's current level.
Calm, one to one, and nothing hidden. This is what the half hour looks like, what reaches you afterwards, and how the first class is booked.
Your child learns one to one with the same teacher every week, on a Google Meet link that never changes. A supervisor from the academy is on every class, and all of our supervisors are women. You can join any class yourself, without telling us first.
Not a vague “doing fine” once a month. A note follows every class: which lesson your child is on, how it went, and the five minutes of practice that would help before the next one.
Send one message and we answer with the hours that are free. After the trial classes you have a family group with your child’ supervisor, the coordinator and the academy manager in it, and everything is settled there from then on.
There are good Islamic schools in Melbourne, concentrated where the community is densest. Whether one is useful to you depends less on its quality than on which side of the city it is on.

Most children finish Noorani Qaida in 4 to 8 months at 3 or 4 lessons a week. Because afternoon slots are easy to get in Melbourne, families here often do 4 or 5 a week, which brings that down.
Yes. One to one, the teacher hears your child alone and stops at the letter rather than at the end of the page. Your child reads from the Mushaf you already have at home.
Yes. Fluent reading comes first, which normally means Qaida and some Tajweed. Hifz lessons are 45 minutes or an hour and need to be near daily; Melbourne weekend afternoons are the usual anchor for it.
You can join any class without arranging it, every lesson is 1-to-1, and nothing is recorded. Certificates and references are checked before a teacher is given a student. The child safety page sets this out properly.
That depends entirely on your suburb. Dandenong, Broadmeadows and Coburg are well served; the outer north and west much less so. Learning at home removes the question, which is why most of our Melbourne families are from those outer suburbs.
Your child keeps the same qualified teacher every week, at the same time. Every class is one-to-one. After each class the teacher writes a note: what was covered and what to practise.
Live, always. Every class is a live lesson on video with your child's teacher. We never send recordings in place of live lessons.
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida. From there it is Quran recitation with Tajweed, and after that Hifz, translation or Tafseer, depending on what a family wants. Alongside the Quran your child learns Islamic Studies. Families on 5 days a week keep Friday as Islamic Day, which revises that week's Islamic Studies and adds one new lesson.
Yes, and it is checked before anyone teaches a child. Every teacher holds a qualification from a recognized Islamic institution, and several hold professional degrees as well. Nobody is given a student on an application alone. There is an interview, a document check, training, and a live demo class we sit in on. The academy page sets out each stage.
The teacher leads every class, and you can watch too. Every lesson runs on one link that never changes, and you can join any class without telling us first.
Send us your WhatsApp number on the form, or message us on WhatsApp. We ask for the times that suit you. We then place your child with a teacher who is free at that time. We reply on WhatsApp within 24 hours, and usually within hours.
Yes. Take up to 3 free trial classes first. Use them to check the teacher, the timing, and how your child responds before paying anything.
Yes. You are welcome to watch any lesson, without asking first.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Fees are monthly, and you pay for the month ahead. If you want to stop, tell us and we will stop. If you need a break instead, any unused balance carries to the next month. Before your regular classes begin, you can withdraw and get a full refund.
Through a WhatsApp group we open for your family after the trial classes. It has you and our academy team in it. Use it to move a class, ask for a different teacher, or raise anything at all. We try to settle it before the next class.
Arranging your trial class is the only thing we use it for, and we never pass it on to anybody. Once classes start it is the number in your family WhatsApp group.
You are welcome to watch any lesson yourself, without asking first, and a supervisor is listening in on every class. No teacher is given a student until we have checked their certificates and references. We then train them in how we teach, and sit in on a live demo class before they start.
