Online Quran Classes in Toronto
Live 1-to-1 lessons at home with a female or male teacher, at times that fit a Toronto school day. Start with up to 3 free trial classes.
Live Quran Lessons teaches Toronto children online, 1-to-1: Noorani Qaida, reading with Tajweed, Hifz, Quran translation and Islamic Studies. Lessons run after school on Toronto time with a female or male teacher. The first 3 classes are free, and there is no card and no registration fee.

For families in Scarborough, Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park, getting children to evening Quran classes can be difficult, especially during Toronto's cold winter months. Between school, homework and family routines, travelling to a madrasa takes extra time.
With Live Quran Lessons, your child can learn directly from home through live, one-to-one online classes. A qualified teacher joins at your chosen time, allowing your child to focus on learning without the daily journey.
Six courses, and your child can take one or move through them in order. The teacher finds where they actually are in the first class and starts there, whether that is the very first letter or a Juz they are halfway through.
Select the option that best describes your child's current level.
Calm, one to one, and nothing hidden. This is what the half hour looks like, what reaches you afterwards, and how the first class is booked.
Your child learns one to one with the same teacher every week, on a Google Meet link that never changes. A supervisor from the academy is on every class, and all of our supervisors are women. You can join any class yourself, without telling us first.
Not a vague “doing fine” once a month. A note follows every class: which lesson your child is on, how it went, and the five minutes of practice that would help before the next one.
Send one message and we answer with the hours that are free. After the trial classes you have a family group with your child’ supervisor, the coordinator and the academy manager in it, and everything is settled there from then on.
Toronto is well served. There are long-standing weekend schools and good hifz programmes, and for many families the local one is part of how they belong to a community.

Most children finish Noorani Qaida in 4 to 8 months at 3 or 4 lessons a week and can read Quranic words by the end. Reading fluently with Tajweed takes longer and depends on practice between lessons.
Yes. Tajweed is taught by ear and corrected on the spot, which is easier one to one than in a class of twenty. Your child reads from your own Mushaf and the teacher marks what to repeat.
Yes. A child should read reasonably fluently first, which normally means Qaida and some Tajweed. Hifz lessons are 45 minutes or an hour and work best daily, because revision takes more of the lesson than new lines do.
You can join any class unannounced on your own fixed Meet link, lessons are 1-to-1, and nothing is recorded. Certificates and references are checked before a teacher is given a student. The child safety page has the full detail.
Yes, and Toronto has some of the best established programmes in Canada. The difference is the journey: your child learns at home, so a February evening costs nothing. Plenty of families here do both.
Your child keeps the same qualified teacher every week, at the same time. Every class is one-to-one. After each class the teacher writes a note: what was covered and what to practise.
Live, always. Every class is a live lesson on video with your child's teacher. We never send recordings in place of live lessons.
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida. From there it is Quran recitation with Tajweed, and after that Hifz, translation or Tafseer, depending on what a family wants. Alongside the Quran your child learns Islamic Studies. Families on 5 days a week keep Friday as Islamic Day, which revises that week's Islamic Studies and adds one new lesson.
Yes, and it is checked before anyone teaches a child. Every teacher holds a qualification from a recognized Islamic institution, and several hold professional degrees as well. Nobody is given a student on an application alone. There is an interview, a document check, training, and a live demo class we sit in on. The academy page sets out each stage.
The teacher leads every class, and you can watch too. Every lesson runs on one link that never changes, and you can join any class without telling us first.
Send us your WhatsApp number on the form, or message us on WhatsApp. We ask for the times that suit you. We then place your child with a teacher who is free at that time. We reply on WhatsApp within 24 hours, and usually within hours.
Yes. Take up to 3 free trial classes first. Use them to check the teacher, the timing, and how your child responds before paying anything.
Yes. You are welcome to watch any lesson, without asking first.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Fees are monthly, and you pay for the month ahead. If you want to stop, tell us and we will stop. If you need a break instead, any unused balance carries to the next month. Before your regular classes begin, you can withdraw and get a full refund.
Through a WhatsApp group we open for your family after the trial classes. It has you and our academy team in it. Use it to move a class, ask for a different teacher, or raise anything at all. We try to settle it before the next class.
Arranging your trial class is the only thing we use it for, and we never pass it on to anybody. Once classes start it is the number in your family WhatsApp group.
You are welcome to watch any lesson yourself, without asking first, and a supervisor is listening in on every class. No teacher is given a student until we have checked their certificates and references. We then train them in how we teach, and sit in on a live demo class before they start.
